    – Thieves broke into Chigarapasi Beer Hall in Chiredzi last week and got away with nearly $3000 in an act which is believed to be an inside job.
Chigarapasi which is owned by Chiredzi Town Council is touted as the biggest beerhall in the country.
Chiredzi Town Secretary Francis Muchatukwa confirmed the break-in to The Mirror and that he suspected an inside job.
Muchatukwa said Police investigations are underway and an audit carried out reveals that nearly $3000 was missing.
"I can confirm that there was an incident which happened at Chigarapasi last week where nearly $3000 was stolen from the safe. There was no visible break in and it shows that it was an inside job done by people with keys," said Muchatukwa.news
