    Chikomba District holds youth seminars


    – The Ministry of Youth, Indigenisation and Economic Empowerment in Chikomba District has lined empowerment seminars for youths beginning Monday to Thursday this week.
    The constituency seminars are to equip youths of between 18 and 25 years with knowledge on how best to empower themselves economically.
    Five organisations are partnering the Ministry during the workshops and these are Windmill, Nhimbe, Zimbabwe Youth Council, Novatek and Feedmix.
    The seminars are conducted in Chikomba West, Chikomba Central and Chikomba East.
    The Ministry of Youth, Indigenisation and Economic Empowerment Acting District Development Officer in Chikomba, Rodwell Zhande highlighted on the objectives of the seminars.
     "The major objective of the seminars is to cater for the youths in the community despite educational levels and to cross pollinate ideas pertaining the survival of today's youth," said Zhande.
    The seminars are expected to be of great significance to Chikomba district as more than five organisations are to partner with the Ministry in empowering the youths.        
    "More than five Partners will be present at the seminar. Some of them are Windmill and Nhimbe.
    "As a ministry our idea is to impart survival skills to the Youth so that they will be able to run their own projects and link them to other partners for development," said Zhande.
    Projects like poultry production, livestock keeping and horticulture are expected to be taught to the targeted youths whose age range between 18 and 25 years.local news
