    - Chiredzi Town Council will soon be the latest town to introduce prepaid parking, council chairman Francis Moyo has said.
Tenders inviting companies' bids for the construction of the parking bays will be invited as soon as the proposal is adopted by council.
Moyo said his council has decided to follow other urban authorities that are supplementing their revenue through parking fees.
These funds will be used in repairing roads which are in a bad state.
The issue will be put before a full council meeting for adoption.
"We have decided to keep abreast of trends adopted by other towns.
''Motorists will pay a dollars for an hour and fifty cents for thirty minutes," Moyo said.
