    – The MP for Chiredzi North Robert Mukwena (ZANU PF) has no driver's licence and his regular visits to Parliament on a chicken bus to Harare for business have become a talking point in Chiredzi.
Many people are complaining that seeing the MP carrying a small bag containing his few belongings at bus ranks like Mbare is bad enough.
They added that Mukwena is frequently seen cuddled in a chicken bus with his suit hanging from a window.
"An MP is a person who should be bound by a busy schedule. How can a legislator spend hours waiting for buses at ranks when there are many pressing issues that need his time.
"I know there is need for politicians to identify with the people and the economic difficulties of the time but this is taking it too far. More so because Mukwena has no driver's licence it points to the poor calibre of political representatives that we have in this country," said a man who declined to be named.
There are also allegations that Mukwena sold the car bought for him by Parliament. He was elected in July 2013.
Mukwena confirmed to The Mirror that he does not have a driver`s licence but denied that he sold his official vehicle. He said it was not an issue that he did not have a licence because the law did not force him to have one.
"It's not an issue that I do not have a driver`s licence. The law does not force me to have one. I travel to Harare by bus because that is my choice, that is what I want.
"It is not true that I sold the vehicle that I got from Parliament. This is the work of my enemies who are bent to destroying my political career," said Mukwena.local news
