    – The Midlands State University (MSU) is hosting the Zimbabwe University Sports Association (ZUSA) Games at the end of this month, MSU sports director James Muvirimi Chivivi has confirmed.
The games are running from March 31 to April 3, 2016.
These annual games are held every April and they rotate among universities and MSU has been chosen this time mainly because of its recently completed state of the art play grounds which include volleyball, basketball and even the tennis court.
The 2016 ZUSA games are divided into two clusters whereas cluster A consists of games like basketball, football, handball, netball, golf and volleyball which are to be played at MSU from 31 March -3 April 2016.
Cluster B comprises of athletics, tennis, cricket, darts, hockey, karate, rugby, table tennis and pool which will be hosted at White stadium in Bulawayo from 14-17 April.
"These games are being divided into two clusters so that they are manageable and also because we don't have tartan tracks in the Midlands Province.
"We are in the final preparation stages. Accommodation will not be a problem and yet again, I am confident to say we are preparing the winning team for the ZUSA 2016 games," said Chivivi.
Chivivi also pointed that MSU has won the ZUSA games in the year 2014 and 2015.
MSU has gold medalists in volleyball, netball, handball, football, chess, darts, hockey and silver medalists in tennis and basketball.
"With the great teams that we have, we are looking forward to take part in the Zimbabwe Tertiary Institutions Students Union games (ZITUSU) that are set for June 2016, Confederation of University and College Sports Association games (CUCSA) which are set for August 2016 and finally the Federation of African University Sport games (FASU) set for July 2016," said Chivivi.local news
