    – Late breaking news indicate that lands officers in Masvingo have been transferred en-masse and this include their boss, Acting Provincial Chief Lands Officer Fortune Chimbishi who is understood to have been moved to Mazowe.
Chimbishi said he has not yet received any correspondence to that effect when The Mirror contacted him for a comment.
"It is still just bar talk," he said.
However, sources said Chimbishi could actually have been demoted as he would now be a district lands officer in Mazowe.
Although details were still sketch, Chiredzi lands officer Jacon Chimoto is also said to have been transferred. Chimoto also vehemently refuted the story and said he was still in Chiredzi.
The transfers follow complaints including allegations by the Minister of State for Masvingo, Shuvai Mahofa that the lands department was filthy corrupt.
When contacted for comment the Minister of Public Service and Social Welfare Prisca Mupfumira said she is not aware of the issue, but transfers are routine for all employees in the ministry.
"There is nothing sinister about transfers as employees are moved around according to skills and experience," said Mupfumira on the phone.news
