    •    Organisation set to open Branch in Masvingo soon

    Samuel Njinga

It was a hive of activity on 10 and 13 February for Masvingo residents as a marathon training on how to breed chickens and quails was contacted by Victor Chickens at Masvingo`s City Council Hall and Cherry Wek Lodge respectively.
The training focused on how to appropriately rear the quails and chickens so as to meet the standards of Victor Chickens who are the market leaders. The General Manager; Anesu Kwaramba; who continuously gave reverence to God throughout the entire training, reminded people to take cognisance of how God provided quails to Israelites in Exodus Chapter 16 when things got tough while they were in the desert. A situation that he likened to Zimbabwe`s. He pointed out that God has provided a solution for Zimbabwe but what is important is to follow the instructions on how to breed these birds. He further intimated that it was their obligation to make sure that the quails are accorded the right shelter, temperature, humidity and food as he unfolded amazing facts about these birds. Participants were told to take note of how crucial it is to monitor egg quality by ensuring good hygiene, fertility and appropriate storage of the eggs as they require temperatures ranging from 18-20 degrees Celsius and 75% humidity!
The Cordinator of Masvingo Chickenomics, Thomas Manyumwa, hailed Victor Chickens for the training.
Victor Chickens, has got branches in Gweru, Chiredzi and Kadoma it is set to open a branch in Masvingo very soon. Apparently it is the quail egg that has taken Zimbabwe by storm as it has been unearthed that it can combat multifarious diseases. Apparently, Japan is among the leading countries in rearing quail bird.
