    Chiredzi TC chairman donates to grades 1

    Chiredzi - Chiredzi Town Council Chairman Francis Moyo has donated pencils, crayons, exercise books and pencil sharpeners to the newly enrolled grade one pupils at four primary schools in Chiredzi Urban.
    He also adopted one disadvantaged child from each of the four schools so that they can get financial support from him while the schools received a flag each.
    The Schools that received the donations are Ngwindi, Tshovani, Seventh Day Adventist and Shingai Primary Schools. The donations includes pencils, crayons, exercise books, pencil sharpeners and a national flag for each school
    Moyo who is also Councillor for Ward 4 in Chiredzi urban told The Mirror that he was doing this in order to support education from the grassroots.
    "Good results begin from infancy, therefore I have chosen to help all the grade one pupils from Tshovani, Ngwindi, SDA and Shingai primary schools to support 100% pass rates at grade 7. I am adopting one child per School and so far I have paid all the arrears for Christancia Chindowe who is doing her grade seven at Shingai Primary School and I am to pay again for another one at Tshovani Primary School," said Moyo.
    Moyo revealed his history that he had also difficulties of education during his time as he would drop school and herd cattle so as to raise his school fees.
    Tshovani Primary School Headmaster, Aaron Nhokodi expressed his gratitude  to the Councillor for the support given to the pupils. education
