    Chivhu pupils beat up teacher for incompetence

    – A group of seven form 3 girls at Ernest Kadungure Secondary School in Featherstone have been found guilty of assaulting their Science teacher whom they accused of incompetency.
    They damaged the teacher's spectacles in the process.
    The girls who are all aged 15 assaulted Stella Ndachenedzwa (48) just before their Science lesson on October 26 2015.
    It is the State case that on at around 8am Ndachenedzwa went to the Form 3 class for her lesson she found the seven girls armed with sticks.
    They all came out of the classroom refusing to be taught by a teacher who is incompetent.
    Outside the classroom, the girls shouted for others to come and join them in assaulting their teacher.
    Ndachenedzwa felt disturbed and left for her office but the girls followed her.
    They then blocked her from entering her office and started striking her with sticks, telling her that they did not want her to teach them.
    After assaulting their teacher, the girls went back to the classroom.
    Ndachenedzwa had her spectacles damaged during the assault.
    Magistrate Mangosi remanded the case to January 04, 2016 for sentence.news
